What we do

Footy Cap publishes cited finances for 480 football clubs across 38 leagues: revenue, squad wages, net debt, transfer spend, league spending rules and an A–F health grade. Every figure links to its source with a date and a confidence mark. An empty cell means not yet sourced, never zero.

Methods in brief

• Only cited figures: club accounts, league filings, and named reporting (marked reported or estimated).
• Squad wages and total staff costs are kept separate; staff costs never stand in for wages.
• No invented headroom: league limits are shown as published; modeled figures are labeled modeled.
• The grade is our own scorecard, not an official rating: Footy Cap rating: our own scorecard, not an official rating. Inputs are cited and dated.
